The Synthesis and Properties of Red Phosphor $CaTiO_3 : Pr^{3+}$ by Sol-Gel Method
ABSTRACT
In an effort to evaluate a feasibility of CaTiO3:Pr3+ phosphors as low voltage FEDs emission properties of the phos-phors by Sol-Gel method were evaluated in terms of processing conditions. Fine CaTiO3:Pr3+ phosphors haivng the par-ticle diameter of 1${mu}{textrm}{m}$ were obtained by calcination of the gel for 3h at 100$0^{circ}C$ The phosphor showed the red emitting properties at 612nm with brightness of 44 cd/m2 under anode voltage of 900V. However this brightness does not fulfull with the desired brightness for the application as low voltage FEDs. Thus a futher research is required for the application of CaTiO3:Pr3+
