Microwave Dielectric Properties of (Ba,Pb)O.Nd2O3.5TiO2 Ceramics
Crystal phase microstructure and dielectric constant ($varepsilon$r) quality constant (Q factor) and temperature coeffi-cient of resonance frequency ($tau$l) at maicrowave frequencies of (Ba1-xPbx)O.Nd2O3.5TiO2 with various composi-tions(x=0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) were studied Crystalline phase in the range of x=0.0 to 0.5 was the BaNd2Ti5O14. XRD patterns showed that (Ba,Pb)O.Nd2O3.5TiO2 solid solution was formed by substituting Pb for Ba in this range. But in the range above x=0.6 the small amount of new crystalline phases (Nd4Ti9O24 and Pb0.5Nd0.5TiO3.25) were detected in addition to the main phase of (Ba, Pb)O.Nd2O3.5TiO2 The composition of (Ba0.5Pb0.5)O.Nd2O3.5TiO2 was found to have reasonably good microwave properties such as $varepsilon$r =92, Q=948 at 4.9 GHz and nearly 0 ppm/$^{circ}C$ of $tau$l
