Properties of the $ Ba(Ti_{1-x}Sn_x)_4O_9$ Powder Synthesized by Oxalate method(I)
ABSTRACT
Ba(Ti1-xSnx)4O9 powder were produced at 8$0^{circ}C$ by oxalate method using BaCl2, TiCl4 SnCl4 solutions. The formation process of BaTi4O9 crystalline phase and the degree of stabilization of crystal phase with variation of the amount of Sn substitution into Ti site of BaTi4O9 was formed as a results of reaction between BaTiO3 and 3TiO2. The addition of Sn facilitated the formation of Ba(Ti,Sn)4O9 crystalline phase. Solubility limit of Sn into BaTi4O9 lattice was 0.16 mole and only Ba(Ti,Sn)4O9 crystal phase was formed after heat treatment at 135$0^{circ}C$ for 30 minutes. With the addition of Sn specific surface area of the powder was increased. The size of powders fabricated with addition of 0.16 mole Sn was smaller than 0.1${mu}{textrm}{m}$
