The Effects of Addition of $MnO_2$ on Pyroelectric Properties of $Pb_{0.9}La_{0.1}TiO_3$ Ceramics Fabricated by Tape Casting |

ABSTRACT |
Pb0.9La0.1TiO3 thick films where MnO2 was doped excessively were fabricated by tape casting method. The relativel density of undopped Pb0.9La0.1TiO3 thick film which was sintered at 125$0^{circ}C$ for 30min. was 93% Pyroele-ctric coefficient and relative dielectric constant of this thick film were 23nC/cm2K and 546 respectively which were similar to those of Pb0.9La0.1TiO3 ceramics. But the density of MnO2-doped Pb0.9La0.1TiO3 thick film increa-sed up to 96% This increase was due to the densification resulted from the inhibition of the grain growth by the excess addition of MnO2. pyroelectric coefficient increased up to 34 nC/cm2K and relative dielectric constant decreased to 323. Figure of merit (Fy) of MnO2-doped Pb0.9La0.1TiO3 thick film was 3.64$times$10-11C.cm/J This value is a half as high as the c-axis oriented Pb0.9La0.1TiO3 |
