Synthesis of Mn-Zn Ferrite by Alcoholic Dehydration
The effects of citrate/formate solution concentration and calcining temperature on Mn-Zn ferrite powder characteristics in the alcoholic dehydraton method were investigated. In the whole solution concentrations, agglomerates of fine particles (<0.3 ${mu}{textrm}{m}$) were obtained after calcining at 90$0^{circ}C$. Both primary particle size and the compositional shift of calcined powders decreased with increasing citrate/formate solution concentration. Reaction sequence of the precipitates prepared with 0.4M citrate/formate solution conjectured, (ZnFe2O4+$alpha$-Fe2O3)$600^{circ}C$longrightarrow((Mn, Zn)Fe2O4+$alpha$-Fe2O3)80$0^{circ}C$longrightarrow((Mn, Zn)Fe2O4)120$0^{circ}C$
